My statement on today’s ballot drawing

Published February 29, 2012

I am deeply honored to have secured a position on the alumni trustee election ballot. Being among such an enormous group of committed Penn Staters is truly humbling.

While all of the candidates boast impressive backgrounds, well-dressed resumes shouldn’t lead alumni to their trustees of choice.

We must elect candidates with fresh perspectives and new ideas who are ready to repair the mistakes of the past. I urge my fellow alumni to vote for those with a record of fighting for transparency and holding the powerful accountable.

To the many alumni who nominated me, I say thank you. Words cannot express my gratitude for your support.

Eighty-six alumni have secured a position on the ballot. I’ll will be the 62nd-listed candidate.
